During the Bible lectures, attendants could understand that a reborn Christian not only should walk a path of sanctification in their whole life after they are justified by Jesus’s blood, but they are also the children of God that all creations are waiting for to receive universal salvation. Christians are living between already and not yet; individuals are saved, but the whole world is not yet. God hopes the whole world and the universe will receive salvation. All should follow Jesus to finish the great commission on earth.

After graceful Bible lectures, leaders and future leaders also had productive breaking of bread, different scale meeting sections, and joyful table fellowship outdoors and indoors. Attendants testified how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! They hope to share the Lord’s love in all 10 countries in the CIS Regions after this OLI training when they go back to their respective countries.

Russia will set up seven presbyteries, and Kazakhstan will set up three presbyteries as there are totally only three cities which have population more than one million.

Under each national country, GA, there will be presbyteries, and under each presbytery, there will be five churches. Russian and Kazakhstan mission leaders chose the biggest cities as the center of each regional presbytery, after they named all presbyteries successfully by the help of WOA leader May God revive mission in CIS Region.

The translation project started August 2017 with one family from Moldova who visited the HQ for the internship. One project during their stay was to translate the OTM Basic Starter Manual into Russian, the language spoken among many countries in Eurasia. Even after the internship, despite their busy schedules as OU students, they still dedicated time to completing this manual.

Though OTM does not have any leaders yet in the region, this brings hope to the ministry that the Lord could soon start a new movement in these countries. May the Lord use this tool to support many Teen Mission leaders in CIS very soon.

The ministry is receiving and is open to receiving people interested in bible study, especially students in a health-related field, or practicing medical professionals.

In 2018, SLS in Russia aims to expand outreach to increase its membership base and hold medical outreach and activities.

SLS in Russia is also actively communicating with SLS headquarters and seeking to expand its vision by visiting SLS chapters abroad. A representative for St. Luke Society in the CIS region recently completed a visit to Korea where he was welcomed by SLS leaders there to gain familiarity with the ministry’s works there.

SLS is an evangelical medical ministry which aims to know the saving and healing power of Jesus Christ and to serve with His love through the medical field.
